Joe Neguse endorsed by Sierra Club for the U.S. House of Representatives to represent Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District.
BOULDER, CO – Joe Neguse, Democratic Nominee for Colorado’s Congressional District 2, was endorsed by the environmental advocacy group Sierra Club today. An endorsement statement released by Sierra Club cited Neguse’s support of increased investments in renewable energy, commitment to reduced carbon emissions through support of bills such as the ‘Keep It In The Ground Act’ and his dedication to closing the federal ‘Halliburton-loophole,’ as their reasons for endorsing Neguse’s campaign.
Joe is excited to partner with storied environmental grassroots organizations such as Sierra Club in order to further legislation that acts in the best interest of our environment, people, and public lands.
Sierra Club goes on to state, “Not only does Joe recognize the importance of protecting the environment and fostering sustainability, but he supports the incredible federal research labs that make Colorado a lead innovator in renewable energy, and how imperative it is to eliminate subsidies for fossil-fuel companies. Neguse is ready to fight for local control so that communities can regulate oil and gas development in their communities. He is a leader ready to make the change that we need for climate justice, and is willing to push the progressive agenda needed to make a real impact.”
