Joe Neguse for Congress Raises Over $165,000 in Third Fundraising Quarter

October 15, 2017
Today, Joe Neguse for Congress announced raising $165,437.73 in the 3rd fundraising quarter. If elected, Neguse, would become the first African-American ever elected to Congress from the state of Colorado, and at the age of 33, would be one of the youngest members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Neguse has raised nearly a quarter million dollars since announcing his candidacy on June 13th – raising a total of $243,032.17. 88% of Joe’s overall donors are Coloradans, and the campaign begins the next fundraising quarter with $174,000 cash on hand.
“I’m honored by the enthusiastic support our campaign has received from voters throughout Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District and the momentum we are gaining,” stated Neguse. “I am running for Congress because our environment, our healthcare, and our constitutional freedoms are under attack. We need new leaders in Congress who will resist these attacks and advocate for bold progressive change in Washington D.C,” added Neguse.

In addition to raising nearly a quarter million dollars, Neguse recently gained the endorsement of Democracy for America, a leading national progressive organization (founded by former presidential candidate Gov. Howard Dean). Joe also has earned the support of leaders across the District – including the entire Democratic state-legislative delegations of Boulder, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Gilpin, Summit, Grand, and Larimer Counties, the mayors of Boulder and Lafayette, and former Congresswoman Betsy Markey.
